Lobby: Keep problems out of the lobby!  When possible, take the player to a table and try to resolve the situation there.  Please let an admin know what has happened.
As hosts, it is our responsibility to keep everything moving smoothly. As such, you are expected to be an example to follow. Complaining about pogo or other players in the lobby is not a good example.

You are a host now!  Please do not ask "member" questions in the lobby. Follow the standings for yourself.

General Hosting: You need to remain active.  This includes hosting every 4-5 days unless there are special circumstances that you have spoken with Admin about.  We are a team. If a TD is a no-show or not running macros, please pitch in and help out.

Please be in the room, ready to host at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of your tourney.
If you can not be present for a scheduled tourney, please notify an Admin or other head td ASAP. Your tourneys might be moved and replaced if time allows.  Always let an admin know if you are moving or deleting a tourney on the day its set.

Please don't set tourneys and then ask others to run them unless you are faced with an emergency.
Please delete tourneys that do not run.

Using the "Email TD" option on your TD center should be for league purposes only. This email goes to the TD and all head TDS.

You are allowed to play in other tourneys if you are hosting.  However, please have another host available to assist you if necessary.  Your playing while hosting should never hold up either tourney.  If complaints are received, you will no longer be allowed to play while hosting.

Make the Call!  You are the host and your decision is final.  If you need assistance or "backup" please contact an Admin immediately!  Never debate an issue in the lobby. Make the decision, stick to it and move on! If a player continues to question your decision, please take it to a table.

If a table is set wrong, please request the players to start over.  If the game has finished with the wrong game set, winner stands.

Scheduling: When scheduling tourneys, do not block more than 3 hours at a time with out first talking to Admin if your hosting a special of some sort.  The exception to this are the overnight tourneys.  Please set all 4 tourneys in the hour when you set and do not leave the :15 or :45's open for someone.

Tourney Variations: Set a variety of tourneys! Never set the same tourney back to back as the members will get bored. Check the tourney calendar before and after your own tourneys.  First tourney sets, gets the priority.
Canceling Tourneys: For :00 and :30 tourneys, please wait 5-8 minutes before canceling.  :15 and :45 should be held open for 3-5 minutes.  Waiting any longer puts the schedule into a tail spin and it's hard to get back on time sometimes.  Canceling a tourney at the start time is only acceptable if there are NO jumpers at the start time.

Please delete un run tourneys.
Macros: Please setup your macros prior to the start time of your tourneys.  Advertise the current open tourney. After that closes, begin advertising for the next tourney, even if it's another host's.

Please be mindful not to double macro in the lobby.  Watch for other hosts and their tourneys. When a report comes in for another host, it's not a good time to run your ad macro!
Multiple macros in the lobby can be confusing for members and hosts can lose reports.

Weekend & Special Tourneys:

Every other Saturday is Rapid Rank.  That same weekend, on Sunday, is No5's Sunday.
On No 5's Sunday only, every top of the hour tourney should be some sort of No 5's game at 100 buxs.
Please set the half hour tourneys (:30) as large tourneys too and these can be 100 buxs.

The other Sundays in the month are called Wacky Sunday.  Hosts may be a little more creative with tourney settings.  No5's can be set at any time, but please remember to keep a balance schedule with a mix of tourneys.  Be creative!  Members love trying new tourney ideas! (If you have an idea but unsure how it might work out, please contact an admin prior to setting
it so you can try it out!)

Special Tourneys: Please review the specials listed on the main page to avoid "double scheduling".
If you would like to host a weekly or daily special, please let an admin know.

No5's – All odd hour tourneys should be set as No5's.
All top hour tourneys should be 100 buxs!  Examples of large tourneys are:No5's, 250 Check, Double Eliminations, Swiss, etc.  If you are unsure whether your tourney would classify as a "large tourney", just ask!

Team Tourneys - We host a lot of team tourneys.  Please be in the lobby to "work" your tourney at least 15 minutes before it's scheduled.  You must pay attention and work with members to get them teamed up or an even number or auto jumpers.  DO NOT close a team tourney until you have an even number of auto jumpers.  Leave team tourneys open 15 minutes after the scheduled start time before canceling if you do not have enough jumpers.

OK, that's the nuts and bolts of hosting in PRP.  We are very happy to have you on board! If you have any questions, please contact an Admin for clarification.  You'll be hearing from one of us about training and getting started SOON!

Happy Hosting! The Admin Team
